I may joke around but in reality the only time I feel my age is when I think about the changes I've made in the last 10 years, a good portion of which have been chronicled (sparingly) in these pages. My life is so exponentially different -- I'm so exponentially different -- but I am glad it is. I've struggled, as we all have, but I've come out the other end stronger and more self-aware. I ignored just about everyone's advice, I went with my gut, and most of the time I was wrong; but the times I got it right made everything else worth it, even if I didn't realize it was right at first. I've been lucky, incredibly lucky, in fact. I've been unlucky, incredibly unlucky, in fact. Who hasn't? I'm 28 as I write this; I'm (hopefully, knock wood) no where near the end of my story. I've been told I live my life like a builder without a plan and that was true in the past. I'm making the transition to architect these days. My drafting skills still need some work but I'm making progress.

I'm a late-blooming flower but I'm just in time. My biography, my life, my story, is getting simpler; and I couldn't be happier.
